Been bad about eating 'meals' today - have eaten as I cooked - shame shame on me.

So far - bites of grilled polenta, roasted sweet potatoes, sweet potato ricotta bake and some tart lf frozen vanilla yogurt.

bringing for tonight at work:

slice of grilled polenta with a dollop of ricotta mixed w/ pesto covered w/ a dollop of ragu bolognese.

marinated grilled summer squash

panko and pistachio encrusted chicken and some gazpacho

I was wondering when your surgery was. We are very similar in starting weight and in goal weight, but you are way head of me. I am only at 275. Thanks so much, Dot

This is all that I used, nothing else that the box asked for and my cakes came out moist, full size and delicious.

I used a full can of soda too. I also heard that you can do this to box brownies too. (haven't tried that one yet)

Georgia girl: I hope you're feeling better.

Thanks for the info! I am feeling much better today. Lately the headaches have been coming every few days. None today, so that is good!

Not such a good day with my food today. I made up for yesterday, lol.

Today:

B- LC Slim Fast

L- 3/4 of a grilled chicken breast, side salad from Wendy's

S- bowl of special k chocolatey Cereal, skim milk

D- 2 slices bacon, 1/2 of a biscuit with Tomato gravy

I didn't use my mixer this time. I hand mixed it with a spatula. It turned out really nice. DS and DH ate it warm with sf whipped topping. Not bad for them to not know that it was at least somewhat healthier for them without all of the eggs and oil. Thanks for posting about your cake and reminding me that I wanted to try that!

Glad to hear that it worked out and I just love it when we make things that are healthy for our families and they don't even know it! :) I never used an electric better, did it by hand. Never thought of it, that it could make a difference.

I keep coming up w/different ways to have sandwiches w/out bread and they love it too.

Georgia girl- good to hear you're feeling better!

Okay people--we need to stop feeling bad for what we've eaten. We need to acknowledge it, deal with it and then get over it.

We are people too and can eat the same thing as everyone else, just not as much.

I have people asking me "what can you eat" when we go out for lunch. I say "anything, where do you want to go?"

Don't beat yourself up for eating something that you love and or have missed. We all do this but not often and it shows!

I'm proud of all of us for doing a great job! Keep it up!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
