Did anyone gain on purée?

Hey guys! Sleeved 5/5 and Friday my surgeon put me on purée/soft foods I am petrified of gaining during this stage- what is everyone's experience?

I was SOOO so ready for some purees! I wasn't worried about gaining... I think moving from liquids to purees changed my calories from 500 daily to 600 daily, nothing dramatic. I dropped my lunch Protein drink in exchange for 2 oz of chicken salad and a mid-day 2 oz snack of cottage cheese... it almost equals out. Same thing with dinner. It would be hard to gain on the amounts you will be able to consume! Just follow your plan... it works.

What actually caused my loss to stall was consuming too few calories. Six weeks post-op I stalled until got my calories up to 700-800....then started losing again.

No, but I didn't lose either. Hit a few week stall right around that time which is pretty common. Just keep on keepin on and it'll happen.

I'm just so concerned because my nutritionist is no help and hasn't told me to follow a calorie intake at all!!! So now that I'm on purée I have a list of like approved foods but not really a calorie goal just a protein goal and it's freaking me out!

Actually, your NUT sounds very helpful. This early out you don't need a calorie goal. If you reach your protein and water goal then you will be in the best place to recover from surgery and lose weight.
