Massive caffeine withdrawals ,Day 2 of my 14 day pre op liquid diet

Hi, I have been working towards the surgery researching and trying to get approval from my insurance for about seven years now. I'm so excited to be getting close to doing this! But today day two of my preop a liquid diet I'm havingmassive caffeine withdrawals. Fatigue and extreme dizziness. I would just sleep because I have the day off from work but I also have a chest cold and can't stop coughing. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

Are you allowed any medication? When I "get off" caffeine I usually supplement a few days after with Excedrin which has some caffeine in it... usually I only have to take it the day after I stop to get me through the awful headaches I get from withdrawal. Increase fluids should help as well.

Why can't you have coffee? My nutritionist told me the reason they don't want you to drink coffee is because after surgery it is hard to consume liquids and they are worried about dehydration, but before surgery was fine. I'm on my two week pre op day 2 and allow myself one half caffeinated cup a day so that by the time surgery is here, it won't be so traumatic.

My withdrawals were gone by day 3!

You can do it. How are the withdrawals?
