I can't believe how much my body has changed in just 22 month's!!!!!

I just can't believe it. It has been a tough road. But I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!!

I am still having a problem with food but I am working on that.

With the great support I get from this group and my husband, my children and my therapist. I will over come this eating disorder too.

I finally see the skinny me.

I just found her about 2 weeks ago.

I even had a Tummy Tuck on 3\20\15. I am recovering from that now. My new belly looks amazing!

I am finally doing the happy dance, lol.

I need to get some muscle back.

I just got the OK to start to slowly work out again, can't wait.

Hold on...... Is this ME saying this, lol.

I am still looking for a buddy if anyone out their wants one too.

I am starting to LOVE life again.

Thank you EVERYONE for ALL your support.

This is a great website! :) :). ????????????

Congratulations! What an accomplishment. It is incredibly exciting. Your positivity is uplifting. Can you answer from having your wls to having a Tummy Tuck how is the pain scale? Im still extremely early on recovery fr the bypass, but I am so curious as to the whole tummy tuck process ... at this moment, i never want to do another surgery, but my husband keeps telling me to think positively and tells me when im ready to consider the tuck, that I wont even remember thr bypass. .. can you add me as a friend? I don't know how to do so from my phone...

Hi, so nice to meet you! If you to my email. Kimerick2008 @gmail.com I will give you my phone number. I would love to talk with you.

I just figured out how to add you as a friend, lol

As far as the pain. It was no way near as painful as the GB. My doctor gave me plenty of pain meds.

I would say after about a week I was just sore. The part that hurt the most was the drains. As soon as I t them out 2 1\2 weeks later, I felt great.

Now ever now and then I get some pain, but I am great!!

I look forward to hearing from you. I am heading to bed now.

Talk to you soon,

Kim

Congratulations! It is so difficult sometimes when we lose weight and sometimes get that validation we are doing a good job from others yet cannot see it ourselves. Human beings have been predisposed to being visual creatures yet there is so much mentally that needs healing as well. I am happy to hear about the bra and the store it can come from. I had very big breast and can now go to a department store to get a bra. Prior to that it was just off the internet. I would love to take you up on that buddy offer if it still goes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
