Clothing Advice while recovering and after surgery

Hello everyone,

I am curious what items people are wearing right after surgery when you are recovering, and afterwards. I work in a professional environment where I need to be nicely dressed and not sure if my slacks are going to hurt being on my stomach after surgery. I will more than likely be going back to work within 1-3 weeks depending on what the dr says, and will be working from home 1-2 days after surgery

Any advice on what works and doesn't is greatly appreciated.

I would bring some loose fitting pants to wear home from the hospital (yoga pants, pj pants, etc...). Your belly will be a little bigger after the surgery and you won't want anything tight against it.

My surgery was March 31st (Tuesday) and I went back to work the next Monday. I have been able to wear the same slacks that I was wearing before surgery. I have been leaving them unbuttoned though so they don't rub on my incisions. Finally feel like everything is healing up so maybe I'll try buttoning my slacks tomorrow. :)

I've had to replace all of my clothes finally. I've replaced pants along the way but since it's spring time I've decided stretchy clothes would be best. Maxi skirts, palazzo pants ect. I make sure I have 1-2 pairs of jeans that fit.

I work in an office and have to dress nice also. I'm planning on going back and wearing leggings as much as possible lol. I've been off for 3 weeks and my daily outfit is either leggings or PJ pants. If your work allows, I'd suggest leggings if you have tunics or dresses to wear with them.

I have the luxury to wear jeans to work evetyday. After surgery not so sure it is a luxury. I have been wearing my jeans that still fit, but because they were running on my incisions, I took a hair tie and stuck it through the button hole and then hooked it on the button. My pants have stayed closed, but it feels more like a pair of yoga pants.
