Congrats and way to go!! It's a proud moment when you see results like that.

Keep up the good work.

I had surgery on Nov. 24th, 2014 and as of today I have lost about 65 pounds, I guess we are all different in the way our weight distributes but I have gone from a tight 24 to a tight 12....I am proud of the accomplishment as well.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hey! Yes it's amazing. I work out 4-5 days a week. An hour on elliptical and now I just started adding weights.

I wish I was at my final weight, but I still have 60 to go.

But thank you all!

Still can't believe it's me! Whoop!

Wow! You really look amazing & I'm so happy for you! I love the fact you're in the same dress just way smaller size for this photo comparison! You are really an inspiration for me! My surgeon said it was up to me as to which surgery I wanted to have done and since last month I have been on the fence as to whether I should have the sleeve done or have rny done but seeing your results as well as researching my butt off all about both surgeries (especially the malabsorption issue with rny) has me totally OFF the fence now... finally...I'm definitely getting the sleeve done ;) Please keep us in the loop with your great progress!! xo

Just wanted to thank you for your kind words. I was where you are now too. I had a hard time deciding. But I then realized this is not an easy fix. I am going to have to work my tush off and change the way i look at food, the way I eat, and the way I think about food.

I am so happy I went with this. This is one of the greatest opportunity for all of us. It's a gift no doubt...and I do not plan on wasting it!! I fought hard to have this done.

I was denied twice last year for this surgery. Because I had a net gain during my 3 month nut visits. My 37 year old husband had a heart attack and needed a triple heart bypass last year. He is doing well now but it has been a terrible struggle, physically and mentally. 2014 was the worst year of my life. I ended up hiring lindstrom obesity advocacy and they fought my 2nd level appeal. And WON!

I began my process jan 7th 2014, my husband had his heart attack 2/6/14.

He had his open heart surgery on 2/14/14 (❤️ what are the odds)

I gained weight. Denied 7/7/14.

Denied again 8/16/14.

9/1/14 hired lindstrom obesity advocacy in CA.

10/11/14 APPROVED!!

Surgery date (because of work I had to wait) was set for Jan 5th 2015.

This is my year, I am taking back my life. I will not be put down, made to feel inferior, or like i am worthless.

This has been the strongest I've felt ever. And if there is anything I can do to help anyone, let me know, so many people got me to this point on here, I don't know how I would be mentally without the support I receive here.

Thank you again and I'm so happy you decided with the sleeve!

You will love it!!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
