Surgeon switched me from a Band procedure next Thursday the 16th to a Sleeve procedure on Monday the 13th. Have lots of learning to do before Monday.

I'm so relieved my doctor talked me out of the band. Seems like there are lots of complications. I'm 3 weeks post op with the sleeve and no problems at all

I've had both. I puked my weight off with the band...NOT good! Then the band failed me. Five surgeries later and I have the sleeve. It's like eating normally but only less. You don't get that "stuck" feeling and no puking!!! I love it!!!

@@GEAUX SAINTS Same here. I feel normal with the sleeve. The band was a bust for me. But I did get strong chest muscles from dry heaving so often.

It seems like a lot of surgeons are steering away from the band these days. It has been successful for a LOT of people, but there have been late complications and failures as well and apparently the numbers of those have caused many surgeons to stop doing the procedure altogether.
