  1. Yes! The pulse in my stomach has become very noticeable. I feel it a lot laying down but also when I'm standing and have my arms crossed. That's when it's most annoying to me I haven't asked the doctor. But everyone has a large artery that runs down your midsection. I just figured mine had gotten used to pumping blood to my large body and all the fat hid the pulse from me. Now that I'm much smaller it's more noticeable
  2. I went to Disney and Universal at 190 lbs. No problem at all. The Universal rides are less forgiving than the Disney rides and I had a blast there, no issues at all fitting in the rides. I'm 5'5
  3. Checkmate honey, you're the only one who's got ta choose Where to draw the line Aerosmith
  4. We could be besties! I love Outlander
  5. Thanks! I will definitely check it out
  6. I'm always looking for a good book. I'm re-reading Harry Potter just because I couldn't find anything else really good. Now I gotta see it through to the end. Hopefully I'll get some good recommendations from this thread!
  7. I alllllllways bake my bacon. SO perfect! And it doesn't splash grease everywhere. I bake my bacon too! I put the cooked bacon in the fridge and reheat it a piece at a time in the microwave. So much easier.
  8. OK....you give me hope!!! Any problems with GERD? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App No GERD thankfully! I never had problems with that before surgery. I even had a hiatal hernia with no symptoms. Good luck with the decision. Does your doctor have a recommendation?
  9. I had the sleeve in March of 2015 and have lost 140 lbs. I didn't want to risk the malabsorption issues with the bypass. So you can lose a lot with the sleeve you just have to follow your doctors guidelines.
  10. I call them movie duds. I can't seem to ever go to the movies without some a**hole sitting right behind me and talking though the whole thing. Why do I want to pay for a movie and listen to a stranger's narration? I figured out the dog is going to die too, I don't need you to tell me. Sometimes I think I'm not going out in public anymore.
  11. I wish I didn't know who she was. But I seem to see her all the time now on tv and stories on the Internet. I hated that stupid show Full House and now it's making a comeback! Noooo!
  12. Oh and can my other rant just be Candace Cameron Bure? Please go back to obscurity
  13. People who don't turn off the volume on their cell phones when they are in a doctor's waiting room. I don't want to listen to your phone conversation or your 50 text message notifications or your keyboard clicking or your Rolling Stones ring tone.
  14. I had surgery with Dr Balette in March of 2015. He's awesome! Right after surgery I mainly had yogurt and Fairlife milk. When I could move on to soft foods I often had eggs and string cheese.
  15. I love Cozumel! And will love it more now that I've lost the weight. I would go and never let my picture be taken. Plus I almost passed out trying to get to Tulum and I never actually got to see it. Have a great time Hulabird!
  16. There's a show on Starz called Outlander and we meet the King of France while he is having bathroom issues. With an audience! I could relate to his pain.
  17. Thanks! I'm at the goal the doctor set for me for a year but would like to lose another 20 pounds.
  18. I had my sleeve surgery on 3/25/15. Going on vacation and having a good time was one of the catalysts for deciding to have surgery. Well I got back from a week's vacation and probably had the best vacation ever. I spent a week at Disney World with one day at Universal. I sat in the middle seat on the airplane and rode ALL of the rides. No problem at all! I felt like a normal sized person. In fact, I was sad to see so many obese people in scooters. I was thinking how are they having a good time? I did not make the best food choices and when I got back was pleased that I hadn't gained any weight. But I was also happy to get back to my "normal" food routine. However, I lost 9 pounds the week after. I think I must have been retaining Water in my ankles. I had two broken ankles two years ago from a car accident and sometimes have cankles now when I walk a lot. : ( Anyone on the fence about the surgery, DO IT!! Prior to losing the weight, I always had crappy vacations. Not anymore! Total weight loss so far: 140
  19. I've been on a Quest to find Jerky that I like. I've tried all sorts and I always give it away because I don't like it. I finally found one that I like. It's very toothsome but really good. So if you live in TX and have an HEB near you check it out. Let me know if you have any other brand recommendations. I've tried all the major brands and think the flavor is too strong.
  20. I'll have to check it out. What about Peaky Blinders on Netflix? Dumb name but really great show
  21. I honestly don't think anyone actually read my answers. Neither the doctor nor the NUT asked me a specific question. I stressed too over how to answer but it turned out not to be a big deal. We all have food issues, right?
  22. What helped me was cortisone injections from the doctor and then he recommended shoe inserts. I think they were called super feet and they were the green ones. They are very hard but really helped.
  23. I heard about Dr Fisher in San Antonio from this site. I think he specializes in plastics after massive weight loss. I live in Houston and am thinking about checking into him when I'm ready. He has some arm photos on his website. https://www.peterfishermd.com/about-the-practice
  24. Yes let me know what you think. I'm curious to know how it compares to Greek yogurt.
  25. Looks interesting. 80 cal and 14g of Protein. I'm curious to know what it tastes like. https://www.elliquark.com
