6Months Post-op, check in!

So today I am 6months post-op VSG. (Was sleeved on 6th October 2014)

So far since pre-op I have lost 106lbs and feeling incredible. Still finding days hard where I don't feel like eating and the next, the head cravings come on strong but I just exercise it all out! How is everyone else? :)

I will be just 4 months on the 9th and I have listed only 51 pounds. Sometimes I feel like things are moving slow but my doctor said to lose 2 pounds a week so I am really ahead of the game.I would like to have lost more by now but I guess everyone is very differently. I am very happy for you, stay in touch.

3 months an 46 lbs since surgery. You are doing exceptionally well. I am having problems finding enough protein I can eat. A lot of food doesn't stay down. What are you eating now? I can only drink two sips of water at a time an only 1/4__to 1/2 cup food. At a time or it doesn't go down.

Sleeved on October 27th and am down 48 pounds and I feel amazing! Stay in touch. The encouragement is so needed!

At six months if you've lost all that after surgery you are losing kind of fast. Usually 100 lbs takes a year. You must exercise every day. If you are getting hungry you aren't maybe eating six small meals a day plus the 64 ozs of water with the 60 grams protein.

Each person is different I don't think that she is losing too fast she said she is exercising and sticking to the plan. I am 5 days post op and I am trying for 129 lbs in 8 months joined the gym and I am going to get a head start on this new life. Why be negative?

The slower you lose the more it will stay off. Just follow the instructions you get an always make sure to follow them to the T, getting your 64 ozs water an 60 ozs water an exercise every day an you will be fine.

I'm doing well. I hit six months on 3/18. I'm due to get weighed in the next few weeks to update my weight, but overall I feel great. Past few days I haven't felt like eating so I'm doing 4 small meals instead. I'm working out 5 - 6 days a week.

As long as you get the 60 ozs of protein an 64 ozs of water in an exercise in. An just follow diet plan from Dr an nutritionist. Not being negative, just realistic. Hate to see you make mistakes so early on.just learn from mistakes now. Personally i can't even try any thing on sweet side or it makes me sick.

I get well over my Protein and Fluid goals. My diet is fine and my weight loss is as well. So far I have never had a stall *knocks on wood* As of 3/18 I was down 75lbs with no pre-op diet. It's likely more now but I only weigh once a month.

I lost 26lbs on my 2 week pre-op diet and the rest since. I now loose around 10-14lbs a month. I eat 3 meals and 2 healthy Snacks a day as that's what my stomach allows. I get in 60g of Protein most the time but obviously days it can be hard and I'm drinking plenty especially when I'm working out.. I think everyone is different and my nutritionist said I'm doing great so I don't think it'll cause a weight re-gain in the future as I had countless classes years leading up to the operation and I've done well learning how my body is reacting to everything. This may not have been a negative comment but I just thought I'd be clear that I done my research way before the operation and I'm still learning so it's all good :) oh and I'm the same with sweet things, can't tolerate it at all! Worth it though.

Wonderful!

Good job! Keep it up!!I I was Sleeved on September 26, 2014. I was 405 at the time. Im 6'5 and 35 years old. I weigh 244 today. I feel great. Some days Im hungry and some days I am not. I try to eat around 12-1300 cals a day. I am back to my teenage self, playing sports, doing chores, and playing with my kids. It is great. I walk between 2-6 miles a day depending on the day. I was in Vegas last week and walked over 8 miles a day with no problem. PJO, you are not an expert, everyone is different and so are their surgeons' opinoins, so unless your are being positive to people on here, hush it. My surgeon is a center of excellence bariatric surgeon and is on the national bariatric board. He is very happy with my progress. I have followed his manual to a T. You don't have to lose weight every week. Its a journey. Congrats for what you have done.
