vomiting blood 6 weeks post op

although i think this may just be gastritis, yesterday i vomited bloody flecks of tissue. I had had a migraine all day (which has been a BIG problem since my surgery), and was nauseated.

i don't feel weak, it was not huge amounts, and i'm taking both protonix and pepcid as directed.

has this happened to anyone else? also, i continue to get left shoulder pain everytime i eat anything.

Thoughts?

could be lots of things, gastritis like you said, an ulcer which would be very bad, but that would give you blood not bloody flecks. sounds more like reflux or hiatal hernia type discomfort. as to the headache most post surgical type migraines, ( mine knocked me to the floor) are related to being dehydrated, chronic dehydration will cause chronic migraines. get your Fluid intake up. make sure you eat slowly and chew extra fully, etc. and talk to your doc.

Good luck.
