Pacificare Oklahoma and Healthyroads?

I have Pacificare PPO here in Oklahoma and have been told to be approved for the band I have to complete the Healthyroads 6 mo. program of phone counseling. Anyone know what this counseling consists of? Curious to hear any feedback on Healthyroads and what to expect. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I had to complete the six months of healthy roads telephone coaching. For me it was a half hour once a week. The coach just asked how you did with diet and excercise the previous week. A big waste of time if you ask me. If you think about it, it was only two hours a month for SIX months.;)

Hi I am currently doing month 2 of required healthy roads as a prerequisite for surgury. They have a health coach that calls me once a week to check on progress and have sent alot of good info regarding surgury, and nutrition and exercise. It is primarily to get you ready for surgury, teaching how to eat, manage stress, develop an excersise program and learn to live with all the issues you need to deal with once you've had surgury. So far I am impressed with the info and phone sessions. They help set goals primarily. At first I was annoyed that I had to do this, but it has been helpful.Hope this helps!
