So my scale broke....i was thinking how great I was doing and the scale quit working.....on getting a new one it was 10 lbs heavier!!! My husband's weight on the new on was correct. I was soo discouraged. So I have been in this stall for 17 days, staying about same wt. so frustrated. 60 lbs down in 4 mos this week but don't know what's wrong. Eating the same that was giving me 3 lbs per weeks losses. Nothing has changed with fluids, prot and vits. Have been taking some more walks but nothing strenuous. How many stalls can we expect.?

I stalled all of Aug at 235-237 (lost like 2-3 lbs the whole month!) was frustrating.concluded I am a slow loser, which is ok, but these stalls are nerve racking!

Exercising more, did a 19 mt mile! Walking about 40-45 mts per day now.

chicken still sticks,up to about 4 oz food per meal-2 pz of which is prot. Calorie intake in the 700-800s. Not sure if that is still low at this point.fluid intake still not the greatest. Drank 2 c of coffee the other day, need to stop this.

How is everyone doing?

I'm in a dreaded stall as well, all of August been around the same 2-3 lbs range up and down. I think I need to go back to basics and jolt my system back into losing. Was very excited when I could add new foods to my diet, but then it seems the losing stopped. Need to focus!!! Have about 40lbs to go to goal!!!

Hey April Buddies! I've been hitting those dreaded stalls myself but just keep trying to up my Protein and stay below my 850 calories. I'm averaging 125 grams so it seems to be doing the trick. This past Monday was my 5 month mark and I'm down 76 lbs. I'll be 54 next month and when they tell you it comes off slower as you age they aren't lying! Oh well, I've been battling obesity for 30+ years so I will just appreciate where I am and keep on this journey. I'm honestly having the time of my life. I've been making some tasty high protein recipes and sharing them with my group that meets once per month here at mayo. I took "5 month" pics Monday. My once tight 3X pictured here is huge on me now. The outfit in black is a "L" - Yay! Would love to hear how everyone's doing :D

6m post op this week and down 75 lbs, just got back from a 2 w once in a lifetime trip to China and Tibet. Lost 1 lb ( no gain, yay) and no seat belt extenders, walked alot and climbed 21 stories to a palace, did things I would never have been able to do 6 m ago. I am content with slow and steady losses.

The last couple of weeks have been bad. My Protein Drinks are making me sick so I've stopped drink one every day. Just sipping on one, on and off for maybe 3 days. I think I'm becoming lactose intolerant. Now without my drinks my Protein is hard to get in. So I'm hungry! I've not lost anything in 2 weeks. I feel derailed. Now I've got to find a drink I can tolerate.

Ok my rant /complaining is over now. Thanks for listening.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
