I don't understand why the amount of "friends" a poster has, whether they have a profile picture, or provide current vital statistics in their profile in any way qualifies an individual as a troll. These are all personal individual choices we all make that are neither right nor wrong.

And asking someone whether they work outside the home for the sole purpose of making assumptions as to their popularity outside this site is in no way a legitimate question.

I agree but apparently I need a hobby because I took exception to her post. The mindset of some on here just baffles me. Thanks for your post. :)

It sure sounds to me like Cleo's Mom just hasn't been getting nailed on a regular basis.

There is an awful lot of anger and hostility in those posts.

And yes, I'm still sitting here laughing at you. :P Your negative attacks on me are hilarious. You really don't have a clue as to how stupid you are making yourself look. You really missed your calling. You should have been a comedian. I know you are certainly keeping a lot of people on this thread entertained.

You are the one who defends insulting people and then accuses me of anger and hostility when I stick up for myself. That's just more of the same. Yawn. You're the one who's angry that you got caught with all your deceptions about why you started this thread. "Oh, I can't possible say who wrote those posts, their poor feelings will get hurt". Yeah, right. You really are so sensitive to other's feelings as this and your other posts show. :P

And as far as nails - I think I've hit the nail on the head about you and that's what makes you so angry. You don't have anything intelligent to come back with so you just attack. That's such a pathetic tactic. It sure doesn't fool me. I've seen it before. That is your style.

What I don't understand is that if you "don't give a damn" (earlier post) why are you still on here?

@@Cleo's Mom Sorry angry lady you know nothing about me, you can't read my mind, yet you continue to insist that you know exactly what I'm thinking and how I feel.

I'm not angry at all. You sound like a small child that is pissed off because they couldn't get their way.

Keep on entertaining the people who continue to follow this thread, but I'm done with you. I'm not going to stoop to your level. You and your desparate attempts to bait me into going back and forth with you have now become quite boring.

My local paper used to have an active blog - it was mostly political. I was very active on it as were many others. So I became very familiar with tactics used in arguments. One of them is - if you can't win your argument on facts and make good points then you attack the person - personally or otherwise. That is what you have done and some others, too.

Another thing that those who couldn't win their argument on facts or with relevant terms or answer the tough question would do - they would deflect. Change the subject. You've done that too.

You can't answer the tough questions - so deflect and attack. So keep attacking and proving my point.

And you know nothing about me, either, but felt free to make a comment about my sex life. How low is that? Another example of the kind of person you are.

@@GreenEyes604, Should someone get bent out of shape over a discussion forum post? No. Might they? Yes. People on this board can be in very vulnerable positions. They may be seriously worried about a complication, or whether they’re eating right, or any number of other things that are very, very important to them. They may have nowhere else to turn, and they feel that the answer they receive here is the “truth.” Or, they may be taking out their insecurities on this board because they need to keep functioning in their real lives. So, no, nobody should get upset, but when you’re posting, remember that they really can.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
