I never said any one was not being truthful.... What i did was compare being truthful and being rude... What i said was..... some people say im rude... i say im just being truthful... BECAUSE it's easier to keep up with truths than lies.... If you ask me i will tell you, Yes that dress does make your ass look big.... even when i was big. but my friends knew that if they wanted some one to be honest, i was the girl for the job. So that being said... had some one said... I don't know why im not losing weight... all i ate today was a few donuts, hand full of chips.... etc. .... then i would say, it's because your eating CRAP... Im not going to say.... (insert sweet voice) well maybe you should think about what you ate today and write it all down and analyze it.... UGH...

A few years ago when this use to be the LB forum we had a girl ... that would attack people for going against HER view of what she thought was right and wrong....

Off subject question for you Cleo.... do you work outside the home? just curious....

People need to walk on gravel to thickening up there skin... JS

I see no abuse in @@Cleo's Mom's posts. It started off as simply asking for a little civility and understanding when replying to posts, nothing more. I applaud her efforts and whole heartedly agree that this site could certainly benefit from the overall message of "doing onto others" a little bit more.

Thank you. There hasn't been any abuse in my posts. As I have said repeatedly, if you post answers that are civil (and yes they can be truthful) you can do it in a way that doesn't require you to defend your post. No one is ever offended by a post if it is done in a sensitive, nice way - including being truthful.

No YOU are the hypocrite. If you had a problem with something someone posted then say it to their face on the thread they were in. But you took the coward's way out.

This isn't about not hurting anyone with your rude or nasty comments. What they don't know doesn't hurt them, blah, blah, blah. What a total cop out.

I knew we would never get a truthful answer out of you.

Keep hiding. And btw, I got a private message today from someone who supported me - but she also assumed that those who post like you are veteran WLS people. I corrected her on that assumption about you.

@@Cleo's Mom

You seem emotionally invested in this thread and may not realize this, but (in my opinion) your remarks above are abusive.

Maybe you should consider taking a short break.

Best wishes to you.

What remarks, specifically, do you find abusive? And, btw, the founder of this site, bariatric pal, supports me in my views and postings.

And how much emotional investment are you making since you're still on here?

Really?

You are calling someone a liar? A coward? A hypocrite? Rude and nasty?? All because she won't call out someone BY NAME just because you WANT her to? What happened to being nice? Being kind? It seems to me that the OP was venting, you assumed to know who she was venting about and you were incorrect. That's it.

I highly doubt @@Alex Brecher condones name calling of any sort. Someone liking a post in another thread (or even this one) does not mean they condone any and all behavior that you choose to exhibit thereafter.

Where did I call anyone a liar? She made references to her so-called rude and nasty comments. I guess you are okay when someone calls me a hypocrite but not when I come back at them with the same. What does that make you?

This is really something. That's all I got. But, at least I do have some drama to come home to since they took my soaps off the air. Carry on.

Off subject question for you Cleo.... do you work outside the home? just curious....

Irrelevant to anything.

I think your a Troller.... with nothing else to do with your life except throw your .2cents in. You have been here for 4 years and have accumulated a handful of "friends".... you have updated nothing about yourself except that you had LB surgery. Don't even have the ball to come from behind your computer screen to post a pic.... yet your criticize most everyone.

I went back and read the posts in question and saw you continuously attacking others for disagreeing with your opinion. maybe you should take a long look in the mirror and re-evaluate who you really are and why you feel the need to think your always right.

The reason i asked if you worked is because.... if you did, i would bet you don't get along with the people there either.

You said "I knew we would never get a truthful answer out of you". IMO, and maybe I'm wrong, that's no different than calling her a liar.

And no. I NEVER condone name calling by anyone on ANY side of an argument/debate/discussion. I didn't call you a name, please don't try to goad me into your argument here. I'm not playing.

You called ME out for calling her a hypocrite but said nothing about her calling me one first. So you are picking and choosing when to attack someone for something they said. If that isn't true then you need to call her out on calling me a hypocrite first. Somehow I don't think that is going to happen.

And yes, saying we are never going to get a truthful answer is different than saying she is a liar. We have to take her at her word that her thread wasn't about "4 weeks out and depressed" but if she is unwilling to at least copy and paste the posts (no names) she finds so problematic that she would start a new thread - then we will never learn the truth as to whether there really were any posts or she just decided to vent.

I don't understand why the amount of "friends" a poster has, whether they have a profile picture, or provide current vital statistics in their profile in any way qualifies an individual as a troll. These are all personal individual choices we all make that are neither right nor wrong.

And asking someone whether they work outside the home for the sole purpose of making assumptions as to their popularity outside this site is in no way a legitimate question.

I have as much right as anyone on here to post - or as you put it "put my 2 cents in". Who (names) did I attack for disagreeing with my opinion? I have a right to my opinion just as they have a right to theirs. And several on here have disagreed with me as I have with them. What is the point you are trying to make?

I was on here when it was just the lap band forum before it became bariatric pal. I did a lot of postings then but haven't been active until recently when I started contemplating getting the sleeve.

Now listen carefully to this: I will post what I want when I want. I will also include or not include what I choose in my profile or update what I want when I want. Who do you think you are to criticize me for that?

And I can tell you that no one has ever accused me of - as you put it - not having balls. I am a very assertive person, I stand up for myself and I do so unapologetically. Got it?

Really? I stand up for myself so therefore I need a hobby? I come back at someone who calls me a troller, says I don't have balls, judges me because I don't have a picture or updates on my profile and says if I worked I wouldn't get along with people there. But somehow I am angry for replying to this? Wow! Some of you people on here are really something else. Just amazing!..

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
