Hi Rachel,

Glad to hear everything went great for you too! Like Kristi says, walk, walk, walk! Get those juices flowing and get back to the grind, only of losing weight now instead of gaining.

As Kristi also said, weight loss is minimal until we get that first fill. Mine is May 15, but even without the fill, I am losing and seeing a big difference in the front and rear end of me!!! Feeling, good, clothes fitting better, and I am ready for a new wardrobe.

Where do you go for your fills?

Take good care,

Peggy

How is everyone doing? Two weeks post op and doing pretty good.

Had a minor stuck event this evening but the food passed. Definitely have to chew it well!! It was the first time I felt a restriction when swallowing! I was eating cut up chicken but not puréed so it was my own fault. Fortunately it passed within a min or two.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Kristi

Hi All,

Hasn't been much activity on this post for awhile! How is everyone doing? We should all be healed and on our way to losing a few here and there. Have been stuck in this 221, 222, pounds for over a week. Had my first fill on May 15th and can't say I'm feeling full after two or three bites. Have had the food stuck after going down my throat, hurt for a while, then it went down. Other than that, have not been exercising like I should, maybe it's time to really kick that in gear, maybe it will get me under the 220 mark and put me in the teens!

Stay in good health.

Peggy

I'm hanging in there. Not much true hunger but some mental hunger. Down 39 from the start of this process and 14 from surgery. I have my first full in week. I'm back to the gym but not doing abs yet. I do best on my days off, at work I think about food more! Strange

Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing.

I'm down 22 lbs from surgery, 48 total. I did have a complication though....I developed gall stones and had to urgently have my GB out. 2 surgeries in less then 7 weeks is not fun! I had just gotten back to 100% and then had this. But I will say the GB surgery was easier and I could resume my regular LB diet.

Hope all is well!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
