Okay guys if all goes well my surgery will be in 11days, (but who's counting) March 19th. I am in need of some recipes and snack ideas for when I return to week. I am only taking a week off. So I need ideas in order to go grocery shopping before surgery. Thanks. Any ideas and recipes are welcome.

You will probably still be on liquids when u return to work... Possibly full liquids. That in mind, broth is needed.... Creamed Soups. Later soft Proteins like yogurt, cottage cheese.. You get the picture. I'm a month out and still on pureeds, but depends on your doctor.

@@Rtbrewer2 Yes, we will need to know what stage food you will be on before anyone can give you ideas.

I prepared ahead of time, too. My NUT gave me a list of foods for each stage (you should ask your NUT for one, as well), and it included all the stages of baby foods, and I did a lot of those - so handy to just grab, heat, and eat (but I have to say I ate that only at home!). I also got a Nutri-Bullet to puree my foods. The baby food was great as I didn't have such huge portions, you can reseal the jars, and after it was al said and done, I donated the rest of the unopened jars to the food bank.

Surgery on 3/2 and back to work today (3/9). I brought a Premier Protein, Water flavor drops and Bone Broth with me. I think I can start purées today but I didn't want to try them for the first time at work. I have apple sauce and greek yogurt tubes (2oz tubes) as well as some baby food bananas at home in the fridge. I may hold off on that though and stick to liquids till next Monday. I have a big leak fear. :(

Unjury has a chicken Soup Protein. It helped me as it was a clear liquid, has 23 g protein and preop it satisfied my hunger bc it's warm. I also like GENEPRO unflavored Protein Powder to mix in Gatorade, juice or flavored water.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
