Hair falling out/ loose skin?

I just wanted to hear from others who have lost over 100 pounds. I wanted advice about how to get a better handle on your hair falling out and what exercises you recommend to help minimize loose skin. What age are you while going thru this and what did you do or notice that you feel others should know? I am 31 years old and I want to lose 120 pounds.

What would be your biggest must do to someone who fears all those things but know that the end result is better than the small stuff?

I found a link regarding hair loss. I researched alot of things regarding hair loss because I am a little vain about my hair...lol. I know that I am going to lose some hair and have noticed daily little by little it is acting up. I was apprehensive about the idea of just the wls causing hairloss so I delved deeper to find out why this happens. Appearantly there is nothing you can do about it. If your follicle cells were affected by surgery there is really no amount of Protein or Biotin you consume that will prevent hair loss in your already exisiting hair. I know the protein and biotin will help with the regrowth but that is all it will do. It sucks but one good thing is that it is only temporary. Anyway, I just wanted to share.

I bought Nioxin shampoo from Amazon. It helps keep you from loosing your hair or will slow it down if you already are. There are four different types. I use system 2. You can get two large bottles for $38 through Amazon! It's amazing. With Nioxin and Biotin I haven't had any hair loss. Good luck

You know, I think hair loss and loose skin is probably one of my top three concerns about the surgery! But hey, we're entitled to worry about that. In my case, I've already spent years dealing with thinning hair after having to have part of my thyroid removed. I compensated with a cute, short haircut that makes my hair look waaaay thicker than it is. So there's something to consider.

I was just telling my husband, I feel like, around two or three months out from surgery, I'll look like one of those latex balloons that's been hanging around a couple of days - still round, but not as big as before and kinda wrinkly. :)
