@@ProjectMe You have degrees, am I supposed to be impressed? You are an all American...do you think that makes you some kind of expert?, you would not have mentioned them if you did not think so. Then why were you fat? You were a FAT woman, It was because you did not do everything right. You had struggles...YOU fell flat on your face and YOU screwed up. OP has her issues..I am sure that not everyone told you what a total f**k up you were. I am sure there were those who stayed in your corner and who accepted you and held your hand when the chips were down. I think that in this world of fat degradation, everyone gets as much tough love as they can handle. You may have overcome you FAT issues and paid your FAT knowledge forward. Now you are some kind of expert on who needs your FAT tough love?

You know, I'm not really sure what exactly your major malfunction is, but you have really lost any and all credibility in this thread. You're coming across as someone with either serious mental issues or a serious grudge against a few other posters. In short, you're coming across as a nutjob.

@ I've never seen such a mean hateful post directed at me or at anyone on this site. Peace & Blessings on your journey.

@@VSGAnn2014 You have misunderstood me 100%. I am not upset nor bent out of shape. Neither you nor Kindle have been 100 compliant in every step of the way. Kindle may have lost the weight but even without knowing her, I know that she screwed up. I know that she did not comply with every step of what she was 'supposed' to do every step of the way. And I can tell you VSGAnn2014, that neither did YOU! As I said before...Let she/he who be without sin cast the first stone.

I'd love to hear how I screwed up. I never ate off plan until I passed goal. I followed every instruction my doctor gave me. I have gotten 60g+ Protein and 64oz+ Water every day. (Except when I was so nauseous from a medication I was on for a C. diff infection that I couldn't even swallow my own spit...which of course led to dehydration and IV fluids at which point my doctor and I found an alternative solution to cure the infection. In other words, make sure you drink!). I take my Vitamins every day. I get my bloodwork done as recommended and adjust supplements accordingly. I am active everyday. I lost over 100% of my excess weight and have kept it off for 7 months. Sure, now I eat deserts and carbs and drink alcohol, but I'm in maintenance and I'm allowed anything and everything in moderation. Any weight gain I observe I immediately check by going back to strict Protein and veggies. Again, where is my non compliance? But if I was, then good for me for being so successful despite all my cheating!

My point to the OP is that this is a lifetime commitment and she struggled with just 7 days. food addiction is serious business and everyone needs to get whatever help they can to overcome it. Like @@VSGAnn2014 said, not everyone is successful with this tool and not taking responsibility for your choices and trying to validate cheating makes for a slippery slope towards failure.

I consider myself a rockstar of WLS, and I'm on here to pay it forward. I'm a big proponent of everyone making a plan that works for them. My way is not the only way, just one of the many ways that works. But not being able to say no to sweets is generally not one of the plans that works.

I didn't mean to start a feud by creating this thread. I think many posters missed the fact that I stated how "disappointed" I was in myself, which diplays that I take ownership for my errors in this process for sure. With that being said I've made the decision to delay surgery. I'm restarting the liquid diet. Day#1 and I did awesome!! I can do this! With all due respect I appreciate all comments on this thread, whether I agreed or disagreed I still found value in the responses of others. Thank you all.

These accusations are cruel, inappropriate, mean spirited and outrageous. Please feel free to share and support others on this site when and if you are in a different frame of mind.

Not being deliberately obtuse, but what accusations are you talking about?

Good for you. It's great that you are owning this and taking steps to do it right. The psychological part is often overlooked and easy to underestimate. My comments were not made maliciously, it's just my "directness" is often misinterpreted. I wish you all the best.

@@BeautifullyCreated1982 good for you! As you can see from the variety of responses, you have to find the motivation that works for you. None of us are the same. This process is a journey, not a destination so if you head down the wrong road, turn around and try a different one. Progress, not perfection.

Happy and healthy thoughts to you!

Surgery date: February 24th, 2015

For someone who hasn't even HAD the surgery yet, you sure know a lot about it?

Stop being all judgey and mean. We are all in this together.

Just sayin.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
