I am now starting my 5th day since the surgery and no more meds. I haven't had any issues with Isopure, crystal light waters or watered down Protein shakes. I have to work at getting the volume in, drinking from small shot glass or plastic cups has helped me from taking to much at a time.

Most of the painful gas from the surgery is gone and boy am I glad, that was uncomfortable. Sneezing from my allergies has been no fun, but it art of the deal.

I am looking forward to puree food, interested in being able to add some different tastes to the food.< /p>

Over all I am very happy with my progress, it is great to be able to see the successes of others also.

I got mine done March 23rd still recovering I don't feel hungry wish is good but I need to take the Protein I tried the shakes and my new stomach did not like it :/ any other suggestions?

What did you mix your shake with? From what I understand a lot of people have an aversion to milk after the surgery. I was sleeves on the 25th and I've been using Isopure drinks to get in my protein.

I'm using Water today but it was too sweet and do I love sweets but that was way too much lol so I might try the bars instead and see how does go

When did you have surgery? From what I have seen most people find that their wight is up after surgery due to all the IV fluids & surgery in general. Don't get discouraged yet!

How are you doing now? Have you tried lactaid milk, or lactose free milk? It is gentle on the stomach but still real milk. There is a medical grade protein you can order ( depending where you live I'm sure) called Unjury. They make a chicken Soup flavour that you mix with warm Water. It is pretty yummy and it is easy to drink. If you don't have access to Unjury, you may be about to find something else. Try different Protein Shakes until you find one you like. Good luck!

Conrad's Marcy, relax and have a speedy recovery.

Also stay away from Facebook while on the narcotics, I posted some strange things that I don't recall doing. I blamed it on my account being hacked, just avoid it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
