Gas pain and acid reflux

Ok i know i posted a topic about nausea and gas but now its on to gas and acid relfux. I am only on day 4 after surgey and my stomach has a LOT of adjusting to do. But I am having what I believe is really bad acid reflux with some gas. I did really good supping today waiting 2 to 3 minutes between and I have been walking a lot which has helped some. I sit back down and after a couple minutes burping starts. Should I call the doctor for possible otc options or is it just to early since surgery? Sorry to kind of repeat a topic. Im up late due to this and cant stop thinking about it.

My surgeon had me on a PPI (omeprazole) immediately post-op for two full months. If you are experiencing acid problems, you should definitely contact your surgeon for a prescription.

Gas X Strips help lots also...

  • Author

I have the Gas X strips now and also Prilosec OTC. Thanks! I still had a horrible bout of gas this afternoon. I know that yesterday and today I tried the sugar free pop sickles for the first time. Im wondering if it is them that caused it to come so terribly.
