When does my pregnant belly go away after surgery???

I am 39 years old.

I am male.

And I think I am pregnant.

Because I have this ENORMOUS, BLOATED BELLY! ;-)

I had my surgery five days ago and I cannot believe how fast the recovery has been. I am off pain meds, getting all my Water and Protein down, walking a lot, getting out of the house, etc. But I am curious about this swollen belly!

How long do you think it will take to go down? Is there anything I can do to expedite the process?

Many thanks, all!

I'm 5 days post op and I'm enormous too! My belly looks like I'm 20 months pregnant. My NP said it's normal and it can take from a week to a month for it to go down, just depends. Sorry, not much help!

I am 4 days post op & too look like im about to explode!!

I have been drinking peppermint tea to dispurse the wind which is working for me.

keep smiling

Thursday will be 4 weeks post op for me. My swelling has FINALLY started to go away. It is frustrating to see the numbers on the scale going down, and your clothes that fit before surgery are to small.

I think it took about three to four weeks to finally start seeing the belly going down. Seems like one day it is just gone and your stomach is smaller than it was before surgery...just keep that in mind...it is a great feeling to see a smaller tummy!!Deanna

never had swelling... least not that I could tell... maybe I was to fat to notice...lol well good luck... tell us what the baby looks like  grin
