Just had bypass, now suffering during "time of month"

Hello all. I just had surgery on the fifth of this month, so I'm still in the liquid stage of the diet (soon I can move on to soft foods! Yay!). I just started my period yesterday, and my cramps are unbearable. This has happened to me before, albeit not often, and the only thing that has ever helped has been Advil. Obviously I can't take that anymore, but the Tylenol I've been taking really hasn't helped at all.

I'm wondering if anyone else has run across this problem, and if so (or even if not) if anyone has suggestions to help me ease this pain. Because it's 4:00AM and I can't sleep it's so bad :(

Im not having my surgery until February 2nd but I get bad cramps regularly I would say try a heating pad.. it works for me hope it works for you. Hope you feel better & be able to get some rest.

Honestly since I had surgery on Nov10th, I've gotten my period twice a month every month. The cramps have been awful. The nurse told me that changes in it are normal though because of hormones changing during weightloss.
