Weight loss has stopped - HELP !

I had my sleeve on 12/26/14 - Merry Christmas me! I am almost a month out - about to start soft foods this weekend - lost 15 pounds but am stuck here for the last week! What the heck!?! I am nervous I am not going to drop more weight and I keep thinking about food! How many calories should I be at? How much walking?

Advice? Please? Thank you!

Use the search engine here or even just Google "three week stall" -- you'll see, what you are going through is almost universal. Virtually everyone pauses in their weight loss somewhere around the third week out. You are right on track. Keep following your program and put the scale away for at least the next few weeks or it will make you crazy. Relax, you are normal!

Ditto, three week stall, it's your body adjusting to all the changes. Mine lasted 2 weeks, but haven't hit any since.

Ive had two stalls. Sleeved 11/11. First one lasted two weeks and the second about ten days. Down 37 pounds and four sizes. Follow the rules. You'll be fine.

I am so glad to see this.... I am down 22.5 pounds, two weeks and two days post op. I have stopped losing and have been terrified. Thank you for this post! I thought I was doing it all wrong!!! ????

I have been having the same issue the scale just hasn't been moving . I was sleeved on 12/30 I have lost 16 lbs and I am following the plan to a tee . I hope I start losing soon .????

Congratulations! You have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the weight will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches will continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. Here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again!

(Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)

I also stalled but at about 4-5 weeks only for about 5 days. I was told to drink drink drink. I was not drinking enough water. My doctor told me to weigh everyday!! That will keep you on track and it does. If I don't drop a lb that day then I know it was because I drank less water the day before. I weigh every morning. I'm 7 weeks post op and down a total of 67 lbs. following my pre op diet I had lost 30 and post op so far 36.

Good luck and keep focused on the WATER.
