Added some pics of my journey. I'm down 61lbs since pre-op. Lost too much too fast when sick but can of focus on working towards goal as last 2 months was focused on just surviving. Pic with fish in white shirt was in July at 295,got to 308 now at 247. Pic with large bass was a month ago when sick, but wanted to feel normal for 5 minutes and used all my strength and first cast got this 9 lb monster! Ty again to all for outpouring of support!

last part of transformation back to me was shaving off my "sickness" beard. Hadnt shaved while sick.

@@proudgranny -I am doing ok with eating and such, today was best day and firstfull day w/o NG Tube, I managed 700 calories and 60 grams of Protein (no Protein shakes) Turkey slices, some grilled fish etc....and I drank 60 oz of Water. Far cry from 0 & 0 three weeks ago or so!

I do need to start my supplement Vitamins back up now. I do notice that even the turkey slices or anything is giving me bad heartburn. I have tried different PPI's (within first couple weeks of post op b4 I got sick, and since I got the tube and thru now, I get bad heartburn, I am on omeprazole, have tried protonix and nexium, no luck yet). I am also gettingregular faintness (starting to black out) and dizziness for a few moments almost everytime I stand up or get out of bed. Surgeon said yesterday that may be to poor hydration. I thins its because I was weening off of tube feed, so was probably not getting enough Water & nutrition, today should help and of course coming days as I continue to hydrate and get nutrition. He also said maybe the Vitamins too ( I need to go on them again as was off for past 2 months). only other thing bothering me is the blurred vision. Its now about 10" out from my eyes where it starts to get blurry, started when they put me on Compazine when I went in hospital last time. Today is first day with no nausea medicine. So no just PRN. Its a side effect of that strong med, but he said it may not come back (the vision) That sucks, but if getting some reading glasses out of my ordeal is the only change from pre-near death experience, I'll take it!

My wife is doing great post bypass, and with yeterdays news of no cancer, she has a better outlook too. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
