Well I am not so sore today from lifting weights last night. DH and I are in a competition to see who has the most fitpoints on the Fitlinxx things by the end of October. I have to work twice as hard since he lifts heavier weights than me so I guess I will have to go the gym twice a day to compensate. Ha I am already pooped out. All of the good classes are at like 8pm and last an hour. So I don't get in bed until 10 and I have to be up at 3:45. I think I need a nap. Or coffee.< /p>

Go Lions. JC do you realize that the Lions are playing the Bucs on Oct 21? GO LIONS!!!!!!!!

Ugh speaking of dumbasses. Central Sterile Supply (CSS) can kiss my butt right now. I know for a fact that they have 3 people working right now, yet no one is in there so i can get the stuff I need. SO now I have to walk back across the entire hospital in 30 minutes to get my stuff. Ummm duh, you don't all go on break at once retards.

hey, lets talk about idiotic people....

I have a partner for my class who writes worse than an 8th grader. And I think I need to apologize to the 8th graders of the world.

I want to introduce her to spell checker, the comma, and how to use a period to end a thought before she goes on to the next one so you know what she was thinking and not get all confused about what it is she is trying to communicate because its really annoying to figured it out on you're own. Oh yeah, consistent verb tenses and the right use of apostrophes would be a bonus!

And on a bulletin board posting for the class she was writing about her "bitch" boss. This is supposed to be communication on a business level. Yes, one can say there are personality difficulties and one can say that they are extreme or unprofessional or any number of ways to say she sucks, but to use profanity is a hugely inappropriate.

And then our weekly assignment is we have one of three quotes to choose and analyze and she opts for the shortest ones, because the longer quotes are "too long and too hard." The woman is 43!

But who's the bigger dumb ass? I asked her to partner with me because she loves her puppies, and I love dog people.

The class on management theory is quickly becoming a class on tolerance.

BG, J, you aren't the only two having this problem. As I type this I am taking a break from rewriting a procedure for backup tapes.

This was written by a "college grad" who makes more money than me because he has a higher education. Throughout my life I have been told many times that my education in the Southern states was inferrior to a Northeastern education, you could not prove this by the garbage that was placed on my desk this morning.

Signed your dumb hick buddy,JC

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
