I'm just switching over to myfitnesspal now. I tried it about two years ago but then found another app I liked better and switched off. But it seems like everyone from here is on myfitnesspal, so I am bowing to peer pressure and switching back. My nickname there is anaxila, same as here. Please add me!

I just had my pre-op tests and appointments....this is getting super real now! I am so excited. I have to do one week of liquid diet which will start on December 30. So, no big New Year's Eve for me but that is all good. There will be plenty more parties in my now extended life time. I am so looking forward to being healthier and way hotter ;)

@@Dolce_xxv, my surgey date is January 6.

One of the biggest things I am working on right now is not drinking while I am eating. This is such a hard habit for me to break!!!!! That and chewing my food till it is liquid. I am an inhaler when I eat (gee, part of what got me to needing this surgery). A couple really bad habits for me to break, sigh, I hope I can do it. Wait, I KNOW I CAN do it. I can, I can, I can.

I'm Thurs 1/15, too! Pre-op starts 1/1. I'm a little nervous, I doubt I'll back out. I made it through the 6 month supervised diet, the consult, the NUT and the Psych eval. I just need my pre-op appointment and I'm in like Flynn! Let me go call these folks!

@Dolce_xxv@jblkmom

I just posted a new topic, but the not drinking while eating thing is one of my big fears. I tried today at lunch... Ended up guzzling a glass of Water halfway through the meal.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

        So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

        That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
