How long does the actual food stay in the pouch?

How long does the food stay in the pouch after eating? Does it just slide through with gravity once inside, or stay a while and linger? I know no drink for 30 min after ingesting it so as it can absorb nutrients and digest.

My surgeon does not allow liquids for forty five minutes after eating as that is how long it takes for your stomach to tell your brain you are full. You should be able to go 5 hours between meals, without hunger.

I can't go 5 hours.... I need to eat every 2.5 hours or so.... it's more about calories at this point. I wasn't eating enough... and I stalled two weeks out for two weeks so far!
