Day 8 and I feel Great

Corny headline, I know. Thing is, I really do feel great!!!

I had my surgery on the 21st. The procedure went very well, my doctor even repaired a hiatal hernia! Two for the price of one!!! I did wake up from surgery to a very severe panic attack and then had a second one in the recovery room but the staff was able to calm me down very quickly. It was scary as I have never had a panic attack before, and even though I was able to rationalize what was happening to me, I felt as if that was the way I'd feel for the rest of my life! Ugh! So glad to be behind that!!

I started feeling more like myself around day 5 even though everyone around me told me that I barely looked like anything happened to me I was handling myself so well. I actually don't feel like I have anything in me, which I know will change after the first fill.

I am down a total of 23lbs since I started my liquid diet on the 7th, and that does feel terrific. I survived Thanksgiving dinner with not even feeling bad that all I had was Soup, something else that is terrific. And I am ready to go back to work and start getting back into the groove of things on Monday.

Here's to more things that feel terrific!!!

Congrats on your success - both the weight lost and getting through the year's biggest eating holiday by sticking to your recovery plan! Sounds like you're on the right the road.

Thank you! I am excited about the road! My daughter, who is 14 told me the other day she is very happy that I decided to do the surgery and that she can't wait to see the outcome. If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is!!!
