Hi guys... new to this site Help!

Hi my daughter and I had our surgeries together on Nov 13, Im not having many unexpected issues other than this hard lump right above my belly button that was also very bruised, Im assuming that is where my stomach was removed for it is the largest incision... ? Has anyone had this sensation? My daughter has been experiencing severe nausea constantly and Im beginning to get worried. Any insight would be so appreciated!

I had a hard lump as well but mine was off to my left side under my incision I thought it was a hernia but my surgeon said it is normal round your largest incision, and the swelling had just dropped, sure enough it went away no problems now. just curious how old is your daughter I think it is awesome you guys did this together what a great support team. as far as her vomiting is she using any Protein Drinks or anything like that because my sleeve would not tolerate shakes so I waited till puree and soft food and I get in my Protein with no suppliments hope this helps let me know if you have any more questions best of luck to you both :)

Hey Nicole ,

Thanks for your response, I just read about some not being able to handle the Protein shakes. I'll let my daughter know. And thanks for the reassurance about the lump not being a hernia because that is exactly what I thought it was lol.... .My daughter is 22 I didn't want her riding the same roller coaster as me, so when we both shot up to exactly the same weight we decided it was time.. i hope to catch you on here again ... night

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
