  1. My daughter had surgery in Mexico 11/13/14, she has had major complications since then. She went yesterday and saw one of the head surgeons of bariatric surgery here in Colorado yesterday and was told her stomach is to small. The surgeon in mexico used a size 32 bogie the surgeon states they use a size 36-40 in the states. After everything she eats or drinks she gags and needs to throw up. A few weeks back she went to the emergency room and was hydrated after her release we saw another doc and like the head surgeon he recommended we convert to a gastric bypass because the stomach was to small. She does not look healthy and is always dehydrated. Have any of you went through this ? I must note a week or to after her release from the hospital she did much better and moved into soft foods. Now back to this.... Any ideas? I don't want her to have to have surgery again we are all so worried.
  2. I had that exp as well. In my case it was not a hernia as I thought. It was swelling, i was two weeks out, it has gotten better...good luck! Cris
  3. My daughter and i had the sleeve on Nov 13, 2014 she has lost 20 lbs .. at first I thought ok she is just one of the unfortunate ones who has extreme nausea.. But she cant put anything down without burping and gagging. She follows the rules as far as... not drinking anything 30 min before having a creamy Soup. nothing after for one hour. She is miserable with this she takes prilosec, and zofran and tums. I also thought ok maybe its the Protein shakes and shes sensitive or allergic to whey... Its everything even Water little sips that elicit that response... Help anyone!

  7. Hey Nicole , Thanks for your response, I just read about some not being able to handle the Protein shakes. I'll let my daughter know. And thanks for the reassurance about the lump not being a hernia because that is exactly what I thought it was lol.... .My daughter is 22 I didn't want her riding the same roller coaster as me, so when we both shot up to exactly the same weight we decided it was time.. i hope to catch you on here again ... night
  8. Hi my daughter and I had our surgeries together on Nov 13, Im not having many unexpected issues other than this hard lump right above my belly button that was also very bruised, Im assuming that is where my stomach was removed for it is the largest incision... ? Has anyone had this sensation? My daughter has been experiencing severe nausea constantly and Im beginning to get worried. Any insight would be so appreciated! Cris
