So I had my second fill on Monday. I know it can take up to a week to feel the results of a fill but honestly I still FEEL NOTHING!!! I mean I can still eat a piece of bread and two scrambled egg in one meal. I mean its not that high in calories but it is high in Protein but should i be able to eat that whole thing??! I feel like I am some sort of lapband failure that I can still eat so much with two fills under my belt. I received 1 cc on 4/30 and then 1 cc on 5/14. I have another fill scheduled for 4/27 but seriously, why am I not feeling this yet? The PA said it can take up to 3 fills to make a difference but how come it seems like almost everyone else feels a big difference with their first fill?? I am starting to get very frustrated.

Hang in there. You will get there. Sometimes it might take several fills to get good restriction. It depends on the size of your band and how agressive your Dr is with fills.

Hi, I have had two fills and am like you I can't tell the difference yet. I can eat like i did before surgery. I am starting to worry if there is something wrong with my band but after reading some of the post to your question I think it just might take more fills. I had my surgery on March the 5th

Don't give up! I felt like you after my second fill---then I had my third fill. Be careful what you wish for.....I got my restriction and how!

Take Care of yourself!!!

I had my surgery on March 19th and I had my first fill last Wednesday. Like everyone else, I feel like I can still eat quite a bit. I find that I have to eat slowly or it backs up on me though. So I guess I have some restriction. I just wish I would get fuller quicker!! That annoys me!

Berry-What does it feel like when it "backs up on you?" Sometimes after I eat I feel like I have this lump at the bottom of my throat. Is that from being backed up?

To me the "backed up" feeling feels like a golf ball in my chest. It's when I eat too fast or the bites I eat are too big. It's very hard for me to get use to eating slow and to chew, chew, chew!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
