@@yescobar there should be a scoop in the can of powder. Usually it has shifted all the way down to the bottom and you have to dig for it.

Really? I thought i actually dig for it and it wasn't there but when ever i get home i'll look for it again. Thanks

I find the shakes and flavored powders to be too sweet and weird tasting, so I buy the unflavored Protein powder. I mix it with about 6 ounces of milk and a couple ice cubes. It basically just tastes like milk, which isn't great, but I'm not drinking it for the flavor!

Just be sure to know it is also a meal in itself. I use premade Premier Protein. I am shocked ur nutritionist didn't talk to u about Protein powders or shakes. And also on your boot camp days increase those calories for sure. What was your starting weight opposed to goal weight?

Im shocked too! Back in Nicaragua nutrionists are just not thay good and they just dont believe in drinking Proteins but eating it somehow. The day of my surgery i was 214 , right now im 160/163 my goal is to be 120/125

The choices are endless with the Protein powder. Add to coffee, pudding. shake, etc. I haven't tried unjury yet. I just stick to a whey isolate Protein mix, most are about the same as far as calories, fat, protein, carbs, and sugar.

Perhaps you make have cut down on your protein or Water intake?

Today is my first time drinking protein. I would only eat tilapia for lunch and dinner etc. but i also drink alcohol on weekends. And basically eat anything just in small portions

@yescobar. I could not stomach the thick sweet shakes I used during pre op. Now I mix unflavored powder in skim milk and I like it. It just taste like milk. I never drank milk before, but I have ever had my stomach cut out before. I drink the Protein because I have to. I'm currently unable to eat enough Proteins.< /p>

My nutritionist said that post sleeve women should be getting around 50 grams of Protein a day (at the very least). I think with the Unjury it was the equivalent of a scoop and a half. I can't tolerate sweet stuff for the most part so I switched over to Isopure's Green Tea Lemonade drink and have done well with that. You have to drink at least one and a half bottles of the ready to drink Isopure to get the 50gm of protein.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
