Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters

I just found out my surgery will be in July (granted my pre-op testing goes okay) SOOOOOOOOO

Here's a thread for everyone getting banded in July 07!

Does anyone have any good ideas for a neat name we could call ourselves?

Oh! New picture, very cute! You're a hottie yourself. ;-)

Yes Chim. like the new pic. Has a little attitude in it. You go girl!!

Thank you both. Yeah, this one has a little sassyness to it. haha. Can't wait till I can post some of the new (soon to come) hottie jalottie pics!!!!

Well, we're heading out, don't know where yet, but DH wants to go out.

He hasn't got used to the idea that I can't pick the restraunts anymore, so he's in charge of that. Usually he leaves it up to me, and now all I tell him as long as there's soup, I'm set!!

I'll check back in, of course, and I added another recipe for a breakfast casserole on our recipe thread!!

I remember someone asking about journals...there is one here on LBT, just a place to record all your thoughts/your journey.

But if you need a place to record your food and exercise, go to this site:

FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal

I love it.

Auntie Phyl, I diffently have that on my places to go list. It is just beautiful! Now I just have to save my money and get someone to go with me. I live just south of Kansas City MO, so I would have a long trek before I got to Vancouver. But that has not stopped my yet! Just lost this weight (and I have a long way to go, but I will do it) and save my pennies. Now I have two goals to strive for. Thanks

Hey heres another idea!!!!!!!, how about starting a spreadsheet or something for new recipe ideas? We can all share with each other different things we are eating, I could collect them and put them on a word document and then we could post it like the spreadsheets.

What does everyone think about this?

Sure would help me out since I don't normally cook, funny I cook more now than I ever did before the surgery, guess that tells how much McDonalds I used to consume....hahahaha..

I love this idea. I have some recipes that I can share and would love to see what everyone else has. This could evolve with us as we shrink with our bands.:cry

ah thank you Forgve! there have been taken within the last few days! everytime adam has a drink she takes the bottle out of his hands. neadless to say she slept that night!!

I already asked this once, but I'm afraid it's going to get lost in the midst of all these pages, and no one will answer...

Something has occurred to me, that I'm not sure is normal or not... I have heard everyone say that you have to 'sip' constantly, that you can't take regular drinks... I can drink just fine. Just the way I did before, with no problems... I figured this was just because I haven't had a fill yet... is that right?

And you guys are talking about being full after drinking too much. I haven't felt full at all... but I haven't felt hungry either.

Is this normal? Or should I be feeling more restriction with just the band alone?

~*Ash*~

Ashrae: I wouldn't worry about this. I also can take regular drinks and feel fine. I haven't really felt FULL, like after you eat an enormous meal but just satisfied like I didn't need anymore. I've been drinking a cup or so of soup at a time, a container of yogurt, a container of pudding, etc with no problems. But at this stage it is all liquids so I've been drinking water/fluids with whatever I'm eating. Some people have bands placed that are snugger fitting right away and so have more restriction. Believe me, my first band was too tight and it was sheer misery feeling that chest pain and pressure after drinking 1-2 ounces. I'm sure you'll have more restriction after having your first fill. Everyone has different experiences, I think it sounds like your doing just fine. No worries!
