Pre-Op (Sugar Free Clear Liquid) Diet!

Well, started my two week liquid diet today, surgery on the 24th!!! For breakfast I had a Premier Protein Shake but if anyone has any recipes or links for Low sugar/Carb and High Protein Shakes it would be much appreciated! Also, any advice is appreciated. I am a college student and I know these next two weeks are going to be full of temptation but I KNOW I can do this!!

You can do it . 1st 3 days are hardest. Now, on 8th fay, i feel great. Make sure you drink your protein. I eat sugar free Popsicles and jello. Lots of clear broth. Sometimes i add some Frank's Red Hot to chicken broth. Like drinking chicken wings.:)

I'm on my 5th day for my pre-op (liquid diet) Surgery is Nov. 19th. I had the chicken broth just now for lunch and added Mrs. Dash lemon pepper seasoning to it and some dried parsley. Was pretty good. Thought I would try some sage and dried celery leaves the next time. Good luck on your pre op diet.

Ok, I'm just wondering something. I am two weeks out from sleeve today, and I go to 1200 calorie diet, but not full liquid until 2 days before surgery. Has anyone else gone this route?

I didn't realize we could have pumpkin spice international delight fat free/sugar free or even hot sauce LOL.... I haven't been using my imagination.... Thank you for sharing! This is only for pre-op right? Is this allowed during week 1 post op?

i have been mixing unsweetned soy milk with isopure creamy vanilla and i also tried the vitiamn shoppe's brand of the chocolate. I have to dulet then a little becasue things get overly sweet and i get a massive headache,

@@GenaW828 Funny you mention headache because I woke up Day 2 of pre-op diet with a massive headache closer to right eye/tempo. I figured its my body adjusting to new diet. I don't normally get headaches and I got normal amount of sleep.

I work up today at 3am with a migraine..had to some medicine but once I drunk my shake I felt a little better.
