    Northern California Sleevers?

Good luck, I'm in Chico. I went to northern valley surgical in chico. Dr. Simchuck was the best.

    Daily vitamins

Bariatric Fusion. I take 3 a day one with each meal. I also take bariatric advantage probiotic once a day.

    Bougie size

Mine used a 32 French. I have had no problems. I just have to make sure I take small bites. I have never got sick, and I have healed very quickly. My doctor is also very strict on what you can eat for the first 6 months. For the first 3 weeks, water, protein and broth only. Three weeks after soft blended (baby food soft) soup non creamy. 6 weeks after soft protein, fish shrimp, chicken, and some veggie. I'm allowed 2 tbs of fruit a day. Not much I know. But it's protein, protein, protein.
  4. If you are in this range you are good. I was sleeved on 11/24/14 and have lost 26lbs.
  5. I'm scheduled for November 25th. My pre op starts on November 15th. Unlike some that I've read about my doctor will only allow protein shakes, water, decaf tea, and sugar free popsicle. So I'm starting to try different protein shakes. So far I like the premier chocolate shakes. I'm trying nectar today (fuzzy navel), it taste ok, not a great after taste. I've tried protein flavored chicken soup. Not bad. I stopped all caffeine, went through 2 days of headache from caffeine loss. Now it's just a waiting game intil my preop appointment. Would love to hear from others with a surgery date in November and what they have tried so far.

  8. I was sleeved on 11/25/14, I lost 20 lbs before surgery, and 24 after surgery. I keep hitting stalls. Oh well slow and steady right.

    Constipation

My doctor suggested water, water, water, and to sip through the day on milk of magnesia in till you have a BM. It worked for me.

    PRE OP DIET SUCKS!

I had a 10 day, protein shake and water only diet. I was ready to beat on someone, and it's worse when you have to cook for your family. But now I'm 14 days post op, just moved to full liquid and it's not so bad. Getting a little tired of protein shakes, but I'm not hungry, no cravings, in fact I'm still trying to get all of my water requirements in. I think for about two days after the hospital I was head hungry. All those stupid food adds. But it will get better, just look ahead.
  14. I was sleeved the same day as you. I lost 7 lbs on the 2 week liquid diet, after I got home from the hospital, I had gain those 7 lbs back from the surgery and Water weight from the I.V Fluid. I was able to loose that, and 7 more pounds, but stalled last week and have not lost anything for over a week. The plateau really sucks, when I've seen others sleeved the same day as me have lost 20 lbs, but they are not me...we are all different, I have to just remember that. As of today I have list another 1.5 lbs, so I'm hoping my plateau is over. So I understand your feeling about this.

    Vitamins?

Try looking at Bariatric Fusion. With these you do t have to add other, everything you need is in them. You take 3 a day, and they come in different flavors. You can chew them or just let them melt in your mouth. This is what my doctor recommended. You can find them on line, and some. Doctors carry it in there office.

    Feeling disappointed and unsure

Talk to your surgeon. Remember a PA is not an expert on bariatric surgery, your surgeon is. Also a PA is not a doctor but a physician assistant, Just a step above an RN. I'm not knocking PA, I love mine, and I'm a nurse myself. This is just my opinion.

    EGD questions.

Your EGD is to check you're esophagus and stomach for any problems. It is very quick. They put a camera down your throat. You are asleep when this happens. My throat did not even hurt. In fact I could not tell anything ever happened. Some people do complain about a sore throat. It all depends on your doctor.
  18. I'm a little nervous, and the hospital just called and wants me there at 7:45 instead of 8:45. Oh boy...I'm more stressed then nervous.
  19. Jessica, it all depends on your doctor. Mine has me on a 10 liquid diet, where I can only have protein drinks like premier, broth, water. Yours has you on a three day so I don't know. Who is your Doctor?

    Using PB2 on Liquid Diet

I just asked my doctor that question yesterday. Mine said yes. I have noticed every doctor has different requirements, so you should check with yours.
  21. This is one of my favorite drinks. Premire protein vanilla, pumpkin spice international delight fat free/sugar free.

    Where are the November Sleevers?

I'm on the 25 th as well. I like premier protein, and Trutein protein ( chocolate peanut butter cup my favorite). A lot of people like Nectar protein, but I have not found a flavor I like yet.
  23. Bariatric Fusion they come in different flavors and have everything in them that you need, so no extra pill. They are chewable and don't taste that bad.
  24. Try some gasx strips. You just put them on your tongue, so no having to swallow.
