Just talked to the doctor this morning and we decided the RNY is the best option for me. Surgery date is 12/19 and I am ready to go!

My doctor stated that since I have type 2 diabetes and other comorbidities including GERD, that I will be happier in the end with the decision to go with rny.

That's why I'm having the RNY. I had three different doctors at three different appointments explain why it was the best choice for me. After doing my own research, I had to agree with them.

My doctor also advised me to go for RNY. I was going to do the lapband but looking at my age, 24, already have high blood pressure, pre diabetic, pcos, and severe obstructive sleep apnea the bypass was going to be the best route for me. I'm confident in my decision and in my surgeon. He's pretty well known and a great person all around. I'm glad you decided on something that will work for you in the long run
