So the first 7 days was pretty normal. I was able to eat everything I had on 2 week pre-op. Exactly 7 days out... BOOM. Can't stand the Protein Shakes. One kind ran right thru me. Everything changed. Anyone else?

Are they lactose free shakes? Sometimes after surgery you can become temporarily lactose intolerant.

I think I have cellulitis on the left side of my stomach, this is a staph or strep infection, waiting patiently 15 more minutes til doctor's office opens, while freaking out inside.

Anyone else dealt with this. It is swollen hot, and lumpy red. I am so sick of the antibotics that I was already taking, so hard to crush and hide in food, nasty nasty.

Do they have liquid antibiotics.

Didn't mean to like the post...yes there are liquid and you should ask for it. They're not amazingly flavored but better than the bitter pills. Good luck let us know what they say!

7 days out today 10 lbs lighter. Stopped pain meds after 2 days, feeling great, but have some weird changes I don't know if normal. Bowel habits!

My bowel habits are still not normal. Metamucil is my new best friend.

Great job. Since I cannot get Protein Shakes down I am losing a pound a day. I have not really had a change in bowel habits until a Protein Powder and my tummy did not get along.

I am back to presurgery weight, and when I was at the doctor today for my rash that turned out to be a hematoma, he counted that as my post op appt, so I don't have to go back on wednesday.

Working on getting more Protein in and making my liquid goals, each day a little closer.

I was pretty much back to pre surgery weight at my 1 week post op appointment too. I haven't weighed in a few days, since I'm coming up on the dreaded 3 week stall I have vowed to only weight once a week, I'm doing that on Thursday Morn.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
