Mother is on my tail!

Recommended Posts

You are very lucky to be able to handle certain food this early out. I was the same, and my doctor was very happy with my progress. He started me on solids on day 10!!! coz I was starving on soft foods. After the solids started my hunger vanished. We are all different and our doctors are all different and a good doctor would tailor a diet to your needs if you are complication free. I do not believe in streching out the soft food stage, yes you will lose faster but you will stall big time once you transit to solids.

Do as you feel like, eat what you can handle but verify it with your doctor first.

esskay77, how did you get so wise? It must be in part due to WLS. Funny enough, I did read a study concluding that it does just that. Apparently losing the weight and getting healthy does affect cognition. All joking aside your post above is spot on. You put just as I will once I get my RNY and get smarter...lol. But I am not there yet!

Good advice my friend!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
