I am probably reading too much into things BUT I have hit what I thought was a stall a couple of days ago. Then I weighed myself again and found that I have gained 6lbs in a couple of days. I know my cycle can play a role but I also notice that I can eat a bit more. I am 2.5 months out and list a total of 40 post-op. I am scared I have stretched my pouch. I don't stuff myself, nor drink while eating. I eat healthy, whole foods and very little carbs (complex ones only) along with my Protein Shakes. I also exercise. Anyone else run into this issue? Could the honeymoon be over? :(

I have these little freakouts from time to time, but I doubt the honeymoon is over or that you've stretched it out. I think they're probably a little harder to stretch than we think.

If you're drinking your 64 ounces of Water a day that's 4 pounds of Water weight if you don't sweat it out/pee it out. If you're retaining water at all that could be your answer. My surgeon told me that our cycles aren't the only time we retain water so it doesn't even have to be that.

Breathe and calm down a bit. Refocus on making sure you're weighing your food exactly and getting in your Protein and water. Your body will let that weight go when it's ready if you stay on track.

To gain six pounds of fat you would need to consume 21000 calories. Did you do that? Probably Water weight, right?

I have these questions every once in awhile and the best way to not stress out about it is to track all of your calories in an app of some sort. I use MyFitnessPal, so I always know exactly how much I've eaten and if I gain a pound or two, I either stop eating the junk that caused it or I realize I didn't eat anything bad and my calories are on track, so it is just some type of Water weight. Math doesn't lie...calories in, calories out....if you think about it like that, it's easier to not stress out over the plateaus and the little gains.

LOL! I love the way you put it because it is in perspective. I sure didn't! It probably is water and I am just stressing myself. Just paranoid because I just can't go back to the way I was pre-surgery. My anxiety getting the best of me! Thank you for snapping me out of it! :)

Thank you. I know I need to calm myself down and be patient. I always track with Myfitnesspal. Somethings I don't weigh but I use the hand guide to measure and everything that goes in my mouth is nutrient dense.

Thanks for words of encouragement! :)

Very true. I am such an anxious person. I feel like I have a brand new lease on life and an actual grip on my weight but I think I am obsessing as I have a tendency to so....just gotta keep reminding myself, "1 day at a time!"

You are welcomed my love. I've been at the same bloody weigh for the last two weeks, so trust me when I say I'm having my own freaking frustrating moments over here. But I'm sticking with the program, because I have no other options.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
