That's awesome congrats on the weight loss. Any problems at all

I had some issues in the first week but not since then. My surgeon (they're all different) filled it to 4 cc at the hospital - I felt terrible that day - better the next. Day 3 was the worst. I wondered if I had made a huge mistake. The nausea was causing awful dry heaving - couldn't do anything. I went in and they removed the fluid. Whew - I've been just fine since. Getting my 3rd fill on Monday but I'm only at 3 cc and still losing.

Rockin and Rollin at this point.

Hello! I'm new to the site. I'm having my sleeve surgery on September 30th after the first attempt at the surgery on July 10th. I'm a little nervous because they have to give me an open cut. So it's a longer recovery.

Why are they having to do a larger cut?

Thesooz .

.. what are u talking about as far as them filling your stomach I'm confused I have heard anything about that

They have to do it open instead of laparoscopic because I had internal scar tissue from a surgery that I had at two days old. He didn't wanna proceed and possibly nick my bowel. So my surgeon has to cut about 6 inches on my left side to get directly to the stomach.

Sorry not to be clear - I had the lap band surgery. Are you having a diff procedure?

Yes I'm having the gastric sleeve u scared me there for a min lol

My husband had the sleeve in May. He's down 85 lbs! :) no major complications but the recovery was rough and there are some lifetime changes to consider. So worth it!

I'm excited just heading back home from an NA meeting grateful that I have the tools of recovery to help me thru this also. But having people that have had the surgery done also I know will be better cause they know what I'm dealing with.....

I just think I'm a little nervous but I believe God will bring me through. Some people question why are u doing this but I always say it's a life change and it's a change I need to stay healthy.
