Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been on here in awhile but I was sleeved on September 23rd and I'm done 60lbs. I'm so excited about my new body and the love of exercising. I have about 35 lbs to go until I'm under 200.

Hey Everyone! I was sleeved September 11th and down 75lbs. I have hit a stall the past three weeks and have even gained two lbs. in the past week. Not sure what's going on but I hope I can't get it back together and keep up the weight lose. I still have about 100lbs to lose.

Hi there! My husband and I were sleeved on the 11th also. We see our surgeon for our 6 month follow up next Friday. My husband has reached goal, but I've got about 85 to go.

He must be so excited! I am glad for my loss but now that I am stalling it's kind of scaring me. I don't see my surgeon again until the middle of April but when I saw him in the middle of January he was impressed with my weight loss. He says with gastric sleeve I should only be losing 8-10 lbs a month.

He is, lol. He started at 253 and is down to 163, which is in the "normal" bmi range for his height. I started at 320 and am aiming for 140. I'm at 224 right now, so I've lost 96 total. However, I've really slowed down since about the beginning of January. Some weeks I don't lose anything, then I'll lose a pound or maybe two, then I'll go a couple more without losing. I figure as long as I stick to plan, I'll get there eventually!

It's been a while since I've posted here. I like reading how everyone is doing. I've lost 70 pds so far I think I had a little bit of a stall but since I've only been weight at the Drs. office I still had a weight lose. Went 2 months with out being weighted and still just lost 10 pds when I was losing about 10 pds a month. I'm still happy with that. I have 51 pds to go. I been walking after work and at lunch need to get to the gym more I know that will help. Glad the weather is warming up though we didn't have much of a winter I live in Reno, NV I'm not a cold weather person. I've been glad to getting into clothes that I've had for a long time and give away the ones that are to big for me now. Great job everyone for loosing the weight.

Congrats on the weight loss. I've been stuck 57 loss for a month. Weather is finally changing in MI. So I'm looking forward to more walks and spring flowers. Good luck to all. ????

Sleeved 9/18, down 74.4 lbs. as of today, just a little under 1lb from what was my personal targeted 6 mth goal. My f/u is on the 20th and I'm hoping to hit it by then. I still have a long way to go, but I'm moving in the right direction.

Sleeved September 18th and down 70lb since surgery and 98lb over all. Have also had slower weight loss recently - only lost about 6lb over the past month. However, I'm getting a lot more exercise now and feel so much better so I'm happy. Will have my 6 month check up on Friday and hope the hospital is happy too.

Wow moment....woke up and realized my husband and I had slept comfortably in a double bed last night. 6 months ago that would not have happened

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
