No more fills for me - I am maxed out

I had my band checked under flouro yesterday and I am filled to the max. I do not feel any good restriction so I am on my own now. I am disappointed but happy that I have lost almost 70 lbs thanks to my band. My doc mentioned how a lot of patients in my shoes have had their band removed and had a bypass but that is not in my future - I still have the same feelings on that surgery and it is not for me.

I truly believe that I can still be healthy and not have to be 130 lbs. My goal all along has been to lose 100lbs and I am almost there.

We are going to be starting in-vitro fertilization in June for a second baby so until then I am going to buckle down get on track.

Hi Lauren! How long have you had your band? That's kinda a bummer! I wanted to let you know I had in-vitro... Good Luck! Was Connor conceived by in-vitro? Hope all goes well!! CONGRATS!!

Good luck on your in-vitro. My daughter has had 2 artificial insimination although they're call something more medical and neither took. They will do just 2 more and then they will have to move to other options. You've done great on your weight loss. Keep up the good work.

Lauren - apparently you are not a lone case. Drs. consider the surgery sucessfull if you have lost 65-70% of your excess weight. If you had 100lbs of excess weight you are sucessfull. Keep up the good work. Increase excercise and continue on your diet and the lbs will keep coming off.

Do you know what kind of band you had? Would it be an option to have a smaller band put into place? I know that means another surgery, but it might be something to talk to your doctor about, if he was offering you the option to switch to bypass.
