Well it's comin up on 11 months since my surgery. I am happy with the results:D . Even though I am moving kinda slow. I have a 4.0 band and am filled to 3.55. I am tight but still don't struggle that much at all with foods. Once and a while steak and oranges give me trouble. The thing is I am having a heck of a time these past couple weeks. I have gone up and done 2 lbs. No big deal. The thing is I can't stop the snacking . I usually have a snack and its small. No big deal. Like I will have one peanutbutter cup or 20 chips. If I feel the craving. Not everyday. These past couple weeks I have really been over doing it:help: . I don't know why. I care for my band so I have always been careful. I am scarred those old habits are creeping up:mad: . I have 18 more lbs to go. They are the hardest for me. I don't have much room left for a fill. Strange thing is I feel like I want to get a tiny one just to get my head in place. Does anyone know what I mean:confused: . My last fill was about 2 months ago. So I guess I am just blabering. That struggle will always be there. How are all you doing with this battle? Also does it sound like a bad idea to get .10cc's put in? Just looking for a couple cents. 1 cent even 2 will help. lol.

Thanks band pals.:)

I can identify EXACTLY with what you're saying and although I'm now in a health weight range, I'd really like to lose about 18lb more too.

I still struggle daily with the bad habits I used to have, snacking in particular and its been harder these past few months than it was at the beginning.

I just figure I do OK 80% of the time and that's really good enough since I'm maintaining without much effort.

And I keep running, running running. Exercise is the best weapon for weight maintenance.

Go ahead and get a fill. That's what they are for. Check with your doctor but it sounds like you think you are too close to being totally full. I had that fear also. My doctor says, as do many other doctors , that you can put more than 4cc in the band. I am in the Medical profession and I believe that to be true. Probably up to 6cc or more. HTH

Banded 6/5/06

Thanks band pals.:fish:

you have done great, your almost there.what kind of band do u have?

if u can get a little more of a fill i would. I get those cravings after every weight loss amount and that plateau I get stuck at that for a bit.

maybe do a little more exercise, eat more Protein.

my Trainer told me try to cut back on sugar. yeah i know, we need our fix of our Snacks which i think i ok as long as you are aware and your learned discipline from having a band does help.

Be patient, as i tell myself as well. i know that last 10-20 pounds are the most impatient wait of all.

good luck

Sorry to not get back to you. I lost the thread. Yes, I have the 4cc band. Have you had another fill yet? I am getting another one next week. My fill costs were included in the cost of surgery for one year and my year is up in June so I wanted to get one last fill before I have to start paying again.

As a person who is not close to her goal...I thought about this thread like this...you are now a little person...you have worked very hard and now you are down to your last little bit of weight. Now that said, remember the times pre band when you would diet and when you would have a snack that would turn into 20 more Snacks that day!!!! You are doing sooooo awesome!!! Pat on your back from me...now that you are banded...that 1 snack is staying at one snack...good job~!!!! Whether banded or not the last bit of weight is ALWAYS the hardest to lose..i wonder if the body is saying...hey now...wait a minute...we have been here before.....I dont know...just keep plugging away, it will come off. My doc office told me that in the first year expect half of your weight to come off....during the next two years...the rest will come off...so I am giving myself three years to take off my weight. I put it on over umpteen years so I think three is a good number..Deanna

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
