@@elturner my doc said be careful with rolls because of the rice and that you don't really chew a lot with small ones. I've been eating sashimi like a bandit since day 15

@@sabrowne20 where they glued?

I had an allergic reaction to the glue. My Dr has only seen it happen 3 (now 4 times) in his 9 years of doing this.

So look at mine and tell me what you think. Mine was healing on this pic. Gives you a comparison. Even if it's an allergy, the only thing to do is put benedryl cream where the rash is, and take benedryl at night. The itching is insane !!!!!!

The doctor called it dermabond I think? Is it safe to put benadryl cream on even though my incisions aren't completely healed?

@@sabrowne20 NO, do not put it ON the dermabond. Put it on the rash around it, if there is one. But yours looks soon different than mine. I'd call your DR and find out :)

Good morning fellow October sleevers! I've got a question... This Thursday will be my 2 week surgi-versary and I am able to take a pretty normal swallow of liquid. I don't take more than one at a time but it doesn't feel bad at all of I take more than a little sip. Is this normal at this point?

I ask my doctor about this because it's seeing so many people have trouble getting in even small sips. I was concerned maybe they really didn't sleeve me, lol. He said those folks have more swelling inside their sleeve. I didnt, thank goodness and things have gone smoothly for me. I have been able to get all my Protein and liquids in since day 4 or 5.

Peek... That's exactly my situation! I had a hard time getting my liquid in for the first few days but when day 5 hit I was able to get all Protein and liquid in without much of an issue. If I didn't have my little xray of my swallow test showing my tiny tummy I wouldn't believe it either. I also haven't had any problem with gerd. I was worried about that before surgery even though I didn't have a problem then either. Im grateful it's all gone smoothly and I'm trying to keep it that way.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
