cost of my RNY-

$58,000

Do you know what yours was? (I don't want to know what you personally paid just the overall cost of your surgery.)

I was just shocked when I saw the bill, especially when we were told about $29,000 and we'll "get what we paid for" which I absolutely did not. :/ It's sickening.

My surgery was just under 21, 000.

I was self pay. it was $25,000, that included 90 days of insurance for any complications after. I had surgery 18 Aug 2014. no problems so far.

Mine was self pay, $5500, yes $5,500 :) in Europe, surgery and 5 days hospital stay and 1 year of after care included. I am very lucky, it is scary to see the amount of money being charged to my ladies in the States...

Mine was 48,000 & I paid 8,000 out of pocket .

Wowzers. Didn't realize it could be so costly. Luckily in Alberta it was covered entirely by our provincial health plan. I had looked into banding in Great Falls Montana and it was $15000 US. Glad someone informed me of our renewed policy covering bariatric surgery here. Plastics however will not be covered so if I do that I will have to self pay.
