sliming, pbing and stuck episode

Recommended Posts

Two years post-op and I had my first pbing episode. My question is does this damage/effect your band in any way? I'm afraid I might have messed up my band. I have been on Clear Liquids all day. My episode lasted at least 30 minutes, that was awful.

NO it will not hurt your band, unless it's on going, you are doing the right thing by sticking to liquids , to let it settle down , now my question is you say pbing, or do you mean slimming & being stuck has a lot of different factors , now the reason I ask is because all of it has happened to me at one time or another , and I know it feels awful, but I ask because maybe I can help or try to.

Yes sounds like a stuck episode, don't drink or eat anything for about a hour, then try to take a sip, not a gulp, of cold Water see if it stays down if it does take another sip , if it all stays down then you should be fine , but if you just got a fill recently and keeps up , then you know what we say call your Surgeon, those ,slimming stuck episode's are gross.

Oh and I hope I helped in some way hope it feels better soon, so don't worry unless it goes on for more than a he. Or a (couple) of days , but it shouldn't hurt your band .

Did it help at all I hope you are feeling better today did it pass, be of eating, drinking to much at one time to fast or drinking with meals, those things are very important and the stuck episodes are no fun , but enjoy your journey.

Yes it passed thank God, and I will be more careful. My daughter was banded on 8/1/14 she was scared for me but it was an learning experience for her to know what not to do. Thanks for your help.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
