Trader Joe's High Potency chewables - two a day (one with Breakfast, one with dinner) - meets the ASMBS guidelines except for molybdenum and is much cheaper than specialty bariatric Vitamins - and most other regular multi-vitamins as well.

I get all of mine OTC. Centrum makes a chewable multi with Iron. I also have a sublingual b-12 and gummie b complex and gummie Calcium. The Vitamin d is a small soft gel. All of these I get at my local Walmart or grocery depending on who has something on sell.

I hope this helps. I don't have issues swallowing any pills, but the nutritionist insisted they be chewables or gummie to have the most nutrients absorbed. Makes sense. You also have to wait between the multi with Iron and Calcium for 2 hours because they should not be taken together.

I use Bariatric Advantage because my doc sells them. However, my doc has told me that I am welcome to shop for vitimins anywhere and suggested costco. Just compare lables and all is good.

My NUT recommends taking 2 Flintstones Complete chewables per day as well as additional calcium citrate (i.e., Citracal - need 1000 - 1200iu/day). It is helpful for absorption to take Iron and Vitamin C together. It is not helpful to take iron and Calcium together because they go against each other. For Vitamin D, the safe upper limit is 4,000/day.

There are 50,000 it Vitamin d. And you take once a week.

Me with having several autoimmune diseases I take high doses of d3 for therapeutic reasons. I was taking the 1 50,000 once wk on top of 10,000 daily..now that my script expired I take the 10,000 daily. That's just me an I alternate some wks more some wks less..I have to keep my levels around 80 to keep pain lil lower...if I don't use this regime my level gets down to single digits...I go by a lot of my recommendation by Dr mercola. ..but everyone is different that's just me...I've done My research an I go by how my muscles feel. Some bark at this amount an some agree. ...main stream drs have their own personal ideas....maybe something you might be interested in researching. For me only taking minimum standard requirements wasn't doing it for me...this is per my rhumey. ..for me..

You no longer need a script for the 50,000. I bought mine online for $30.00

I experienced the same with the Multi-Vitamin. I eat something then take the pill or crushed pill.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
