Question about surgery in Mexico

Recommended Posts

After seeing some of your rave reviews and before and after pics, plastics in TJ is looking better every day!

My question is about getting into TJ. I'm no where near Mexico, so how would you guys recommend getting there? Fly into Mexico or fly into Cali?

Thinking about Dr. Sauceda. I still have a ways to go before I'm at goal but if I'm doing this I have to plan way in advance as much as I can. Plus I like to do a lot of research.

Do we rent a car and drive into TJ or what?

Dr. Sauceda is in Monterrey, so you would fly there (it's in the northeastern part of Mexico). He usually picks you up unless he's in surgery, then his driver picks you up.

If you're going to a doctor in TJ, they usually have drivers that will pick you up from the San Diego airport and take you to the hotel or to the doctor's office for your marking then to the hotel.

Oh, my mistake. I had hoped to do it in TJ because I have a friend that lives there. But I'm still researching.

That's amazing! I can't believe they do that. They seem to take much better care of you than here.

Fly into San Diego. The van will pick you up and bring you back. I would recommend the center of Excellence in TJ. Dr Ariel Ortiz runs it and his place is the best. The plastics center is called The Ariel Center. Saw many people having successful procedures when I has my sleeve. A doctor is on site 24/7. And they always answer the phone I had great care there. You will be at the TJ Marriott before and after.

I just had a lower body lift in TJ with a wonderful surgeon, who is a board certified PS plus a micro-surgeon so his incisions are flawless...Please take your time and really research this, I spent a whole year looking for the right surgeon. I went to cosmed last year and had a terrible outcome, my arms need a revision as well as my breast. The implants need to be removed and the pocket rebuilt and then they have to heal for 6 months before another implant can be put in. I wish I had found my surgeon back then. My new surgeon is Dr Victor Gutierrez and he specializes in WLS patients also. He has a 5 star rating from realself. That's how I found him and I am so glad I did.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
