How long is too long?

Hey guys! So I'm pre-op and my surgery date is 08/19. I'm going through Dr Kim in texas getting the gastric sleeve.

Here is my issue. I was told to start my liquid diet on 06/11/14 and continue it until surgery. That seems to be a bit long to me and I've talked to other sleeve patients who said their liquid diet ranged between 2-4 weeks. I just don't know why mine is so long and wondering how long you guys had to do yours.

Dr. Kim is doing my surgery as well, and he put me on a three week liquid diet. My BMI is high compared to others, so I figured I needed to lose more than most pre-surgery. It's hard enough to imagine doing three weeks of only chocolate or vanilla protein shakes, so I can't fathom doing eight!

I used Dr Hodges in Dallas and i had 1 week of liquids presurgery....
