Anyone asked to be a 'model' for weight loss center?

So the hospital where I have my surgery planned is just starting their weight loss center. I'm scheduled for 7/9!! The marketing dept has called me to ask if I would be interested in letting them take before/after pics and follow my progress ... and possibly use those pictures in their magazine or on the website.

Is it rude or inappropriate to ask if they will offer me a discount on the procedure cost as I am private pay???

No ruder than them asking you to do something for free. I am sure the ones taking the pictures are getting paid, right? Just ask it cheerfully ...."Oh, that sounds like fun! Do I get a discount?" Even better, "Do I get it in exchange for the cost of my surgery?"

I agree...especially self pay!!! ask for the WIIFM (what's in it for me)....

what's the worse that can happen? They say "no" or don't use you...big deal...but I would 100% ask, if that money is coming out of your pocket!
